I introduced farming flags into my marketing plan years ago and experienced immediate gratification!

I built my real estate sales & listing career closing over 100 homes a year with my "team" of one ME. My business success involved using HIGH TOUCH. I introduced farming flags into my marketing plan years ago and experienced immediate gratification. The response from people in my farm was over the top.

I would put my business card on the staff of the flags and carefully place the flags on the edge of the front lawns in the evening before special dates such as June 14th (Flag Day) Memorial Day and July 4th. The next morning people in the neighborhoods would awake to flag lined streets and all the pride of the red, white & blue. We are a patriotic country with American pride. The flags stay in the yards all season. I have had lots of business because of these farming flags...

An excellent way for our office to participate in the Memorial Day events of our town!

AMERICAN FLAG “planting” is an annual event of Century 21 Crest Real Estate in Pompton Plains. Each year our office purchases over 2000 American Flags that are placed along the 2.8 mile stretch of Newark Pompton Turnpike and Jackson Avenue in Pequannock Township. Our Realtor agents, friends and family volunteer to walk and hand place the American Flags….

...We started this tradition over 10 years ago when one of our agents, Colleen McMahon, observed a patriotic display of flags in a local Bergen County town. She brought the idea to our Broker, Patricia Wojtyszyn, who immediately agreed that it was an excellent way for our office to participate in the Memorial Day events of Pequannock Township.

The compliments just roll in every time we make the effort to plant flags

The age old tactics borrowed from the great Real Estate sales gurus like Tom Hopkins & Danielle Kennedy really do work. They are just that, WORK, and that's the word many new agents forget in this highly digital age. It takes good old fashioned, roll up your sleeves and "git er done" type of work to reap the rewards of this type of marketing.

Now don't get me wrong, I want as much SEO and Google hits to promote me as the best darn agent in Little Rhody, but the thrill of walking my Farm on an early Fourth of July morning and sticking 300 Old Glory's in every front yard is darn special. I'll tell you, it's certainly not lost on the neighborhood either. "Hey, here come the pumpkin guys." or "Where's my flag?" The compliments just roll in every time we make the effort.

I live in an area where the ground is harder so flag sucks that aren't pointed makes it impossible to get them through. So needless to say I had to widdle 250 sticks before hand.
